DUI/OWI Services
Rosecrance helps individuals overcome substance use challenges and facilitate the fulfillment of their legal obligations resulting from drinking and/or using drugs while driving, known formally as DUI and OWI offenses. Evaluations, education, and counseling help people better understand risks and responsible choices, which can prevent more serious consequences and improve overall public safety.
How DUI/OWI services work
Rosecrance works closely with state officials in Illinois, Iowa, and Wisconsin to offer approved mandatory services for people who have been arrested for driving under the influence (DUI) or operating while intoxicated (OWI).
DUI and OWI evaluations and assessments can be completed to meet court and state department of transportation (DOT) mandates. In many cases, anyone arrested for a DUI or OWI offense must undergo an alcohol and drug evaluation or assessment before sentencing can occur or before restricted or full driving privileges can be granted.
Services include mandatory classes offered online and in person throughout the year, as well as individualized treatment plans that include individual therapy, group therapy, intensive outpatient programs (IOP), and psychoeducation around addiction and prevention.
Clients also can be linked to Rosecrance’s full continuum of mental health and substance use treatment, including residential and outpatient treatment, based on their needs.
