In light of the recent severe weather that has substantially impacted our local communities, it is important to underscore the community’s recovery efforts and the mental well-being of all those affected by this natural disaster.

Amid the recent severe weather, Rosecrance Jackson Centers remains committed to its mission of providing support to its clients. Recognizing the potential transportation challenges that may arise, Rosecrance clinicians are equipped to offer in-person or virtual services to clients. All Rosecrance Jackson Centers locations will be open beginning June 25, 2024.

As communities continue to navigate recent events, it’s important to seek help for substance use and mental health disorders, if necessary. Rosecrance Jackson Centers experts also offer these mental health tips:

  • Stay safe: Do whatever is necessary to prioritize safety.
  • Keep healing as a priority: Continue to include healing as one of the most important needs to navigate during this difficult time.
  • Use community resources:  Don’t be afraid to seek help.  Having a sense of community is an important step needed during recovery for our community and ourselves.
  • Employ grounding techniques: Focusing on breathing, thinking or looking at photos of loved ones, or simply recognizing that you are safe can help when feeling overwhelmed with emotions.
  • Check in on loved ones: If possible, check in with friends and family to find out how they are doing or be a person they can call when they feel alone.
