DeGryse receives national honor from Labor Assistance Professionals

Rosecrance is pleased to announce that Dan DeGryse, director of the Rosecrance Florian Program, received national recognition for his work as a Certified Employee Assistance Professional (CEAP). DeGryse was awarded a 2021 Labor Assistance Professionals (LAP) Award at the organization’s annual conference in July.

The honor is given to two individuals each year who have dedicated their careers to assisting people who work in organized labor. DeGryse has 20 years of experience as a CEAP, and was the coordinator of the Chicago Firefighters’ Union Local 2 EAP for 14 years. He also is a longtime member of the International Association of Firefighters (IAFF) Labor/EAP Committee. At Rosecrance, DeGryse serves firefighters and other uniformed service personnel who seek treatment for substance use and mental health disorders.

“Rosecrance is fortunate to see how Dan makes an impact in people’s lives every day,” said Rosecrance Chief Marketing Officer Janis Waddell. “He is well-deserving of this honor for his dedication to helping peers in their times of need throughout his distinguished career.”
