Programs for Women with Children
Rosecrance understands the importance of family to the recovery journey. To strengthen those bonds, our programs include residential treatment for pregnant women and women with children. Our outpatient continuum of care offers additional support, including a specialized intensive outpatient program for women with children.
Treatment specifically for women with children
Our residential program in Iowa allows women to live with their children at our while attending treatment programming. This supportive environment allows pregnant women and women with children to focus on their evidence-based, individualized treatment that includes 12-Step education, trauma-informed care, group and individual therapy, therapeutic recreation, spiritual exploration, life skills, case management, and family programming.
Children are provided with on-site licensed daycare and school-age children can attend local public schools. In addition, age-appropriate medical support for these children impacted by addiction and other specialized services are available to them during the stay.
Family activities are also scheduled and encouraged. Case management services are provided for women who need assistance with obtaining community services and resources. There is also a large private play area for the residents.
Project SAFE, offered in Illinois, is an intensive outpatient substance use treatment program designed to remove many of the common barriers to treatment success for women with children. SAFE stands for Substance Abuse-Free Environment.
