Programs for Adolescents

Rosecrance programs for adolescents represent a continuum of care that includes residential treatment, outpatient treatment, sober living, crisis care, and prevention education. These programs address mental health and substance use disorders, as well as co-occurring disorders, and have a strong family component to involve parents, guardians, and other loved ones in the journey to healing when appropriate.

Treatment specifically for adolescents

Adolescence is a time of complex emotional change for teenagers and their families. Rosecrance’s comprehensive behavioral health services help accelerate progress for adolescents and create a road map that leads to long-term success.

Our immersive residential treatment program for adolescents addresses mental health and substance use disorders, as well as co-occurring disorders, and is shaped by experience caring for generations of teens and younger adults.

Rosecrance also offers longer-term sober living for adolescents in a home-like setting. The program develops independent living skills and provides support, safety, and counseling in a drug-free environment for teens who have completed primary treatment. Our teen recovery home includes therapy, 12-Step meetings and guidance, educational opportunities, life skills development, recreational activities, and relapse prevention education.

Adolescent outpatient services include individual, group, and family therapy; psychiatric services, medication management, and medication-assisted treatment (MAT); partial hospitalization programs (PHP) and intensive outpatient programs (IOP); and community-based services in schools and courts. Common diagnoses that we see with adolescents include depression, anxiety, ADHD, bipolar disorder, and other mood, disruptive, and conduct disorders. Additional challenges include low self-esteem, school refusal, and gender expression.

Adolescent care that fits your needs

Rosecrance adolescent services are offered on-site at many of our locations, as well as in the community at schools, nonprofit providers, and youth court and juvenile justice systems.
