All about love: Rosecrance clients, alumni, and staff show their art for Valentine’s Day

The annual Heart Art Show filled Rosecrance facilities in Rockford and Sioux City with Valentine’s Day and recovery-themed projects last week. Several hundred paintings, sketches, and even a robot, were on display at Rosecrance Harrison Campus, Rosecrance Griffin Williamson Campus and Rosecrance Jackson Centers. In addition to pieces from clients and staff, alumni from RHC contributed for the first time.

“The show gives clients and staff an opportunity to see how people express themselves,” said organizer Jada Miller, art therapist at Rosecrance Harrison Campus. “We do a lot of talking in sessions, but art opens people to another way to express themselves.”
