Rosecrance’s generous donors and supporters shopped at both Gensler Gardens locations May 11, visiting with staff and volunteers during the annual Rosecrance Flower Day sale.
Gensler Gardens offers a full greenhouse selection of annuals, perennials and gorgeous hanging baskets. The Gensler family generously donates a portion of the day’s proceeds to Rosecrance each year.
Shoppers were given the opportunity to enter a drawing to win one of several Mother’s Day gift baskets valued at more than $200 each.
Proceeds from this event supports charity care for Rosecrance clients. The Kinley Charity Care Fund provides assistance to youth, adults and families who seek substance abuse treatment but are experiencing financial hardship. This financial assistance for clients continues to be the organization’s greatest ongoing need. Volunteers for the event this year included board members, staff, and Rosecrance clients from all three Rockford recovery homes – Hillman, Marlowe, and Greendale. These volunteers assisted in the greenhouses and in carrying purchases to vehicles.
