Rosecrance celebrates Chicago River North opening

Rosecrance celebrated an expanded presence in the City of Chicago with an open house at its new River North location. The site is Rosecrance’s first step toward developing a network of outpatient centers within the city.

Rosecrance River North offers outpatient mental health and substance use services for adults. It also allows people and their families to easily enter the Rosecrance care continuum that encompasses treatment at all levels.

By focusing on smaller sites in neighborhoods, the organization will be able to eliminate one of Chicago’s significant barriers to care—long commutes to treatment.

“We want to make sure we have the opportunity to serve everyone,” said Rosecrance President and CEO Dr. Dave Gomel. “Sites like this mean people won’t have to travel out to the suburbs or across town to receive life-giving care. Rosecrance River North is a microcosm of our vision as a provider of all behavioral health services.”

This location joins Rosecrance Lakeview as the organization’s first two sites in the city. Lakeview’s sober living program is a hub for young adults who seek continuing care and support in the early days of recovery. More outpatient centers are expected to open over the next year.
