Rosecrance’s Community Relations Personnel

At Rosecrance, we understand that you have questions…and need answers. Having a specific contact person with whom you can work is important in building a relationship. Our community relations team is here to assist you with information about our programs and services, scheduling an assessment, contacting other resources, and navigating your client’s progress.

The Rosecrance community relations team consists of individuals skilled in:

  • Communicating with families in crisis
  • Finding referral sources within your community
  • Gathering information that may assist you in better serving your client
  • Providing training/education in topics of interest
  • Conducting family education workshops

Janis Waddell, MS, CSADC

Senior Vice President of Marketing

Janis Waddell oversees all local, regional and national marketing efforts for the organization, including working with private and public-sector referral sources. She has more than 30 years’ experience in the addictions field, including 10 years of providing direct clinical services to adolescents. She earned her bachelor’s degree in education from Western Illinois University and a master’s degree in counseling/education from Northern Illinois University. Waddell’s areas of expertise include behavioral healthcare marketing, insurance managed care contracting, adolescent and adult substance abuse treatment, and current trends. She joined Rosecrance in 1984.

Maureen Collins, BA

Community Relations Coordinator

Maureen Collins is responsible for coordinating community activities and developing business relationships in McHenry, Lake and North Cook counties in Northern Illinois. Previously, Collins was Behavioral Health Intake Coordinator and Community Relations Representative for Advocate Medical Group. She earned her bachelor’s degree in human services and communications from the University of Minnesota.

Jami Ditto, MS, CADC

Community Relations Coordinator

Jami is a Community Relations Coordinator with Rosecrance. She is based out of Rosecrance Harrison Campus in Rockford, IL. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Columbia College and her Master of Science in Psychology with a specialization in Social Psychology from Walden University. She is also a Certified Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse Counselor (CADC). Prior to her community relations role she supervised the access department overseeing switchboard, the clinical call center, assessments, and admissions. She began with Rosecrance in 2013.

Mary Egan, MAM, CADC

Director of Outreach

Mary Egan manages the assessment and outreach efforts in the Rosecrance Chicagoland offices including Naperville, Northbrook, Frankfort, Oak Park, LaGrange and Lakeview. She oversees the clinical intake of the Chicagoland offices and performs marketing, outreach, and communications with individuals, families, schools, hospitals and other referral sources. She speaks to professionals and parents on the topics of drug trends, parental influence and adolescent addiction.

Egan previously held a position as a student assistance program coordinator at a local high school for 17 years where she developed the school’s Student Assistance Program; counseled students, parents and staff on youth substance issues; conducted support groups for students; and provided training for the school community on substance abuse and related issues. With over 25 years’ experience working in the substance abuse field, Egan is committed to helping teens, adults and families access resources for a healthy life. She joined Rosecrance in 2008.

Egan holds a master of arts degree from the University of Illinois at Springfield, a bachelor of science degree in alcohol education, and a bachelor of arts degree in psychology from Quincy University. She is also a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor. Egan has received several recognition awards, including the Award for Community Excellence from the Oak Lawn Community Partnership, the Partnership Award for Excellence from the Partnership for a Safe and Drug Free Community and the Illinois P.T.A. Distinguished Service Scroll.

Claudia Evenson, CSADC

Community Relations Coordinator

Claudia Evenson coordinates various community activities such as educational programming in schools and early intervention classes. She holds a certificate in addiction studies from Felician College and is a Certified Supervisor Alcohol Drug Counselor. Evenson currently serves as a delegate to the Illinois Student Assistance Professional Board and sits on the Community Network Regarding LGBTQ Youth for DuPage County, Illinois. She has worked in the addictions field for more than 27 years and joined Rosecrance in 2004.

Scott Gielow, MA, CADC

Outreach Counselor

Scott Gielow is a Certified Drug and Alcohol Counselor who has been assessing and treating adolescents with substance use issues since 1994, along with providing related family counseling. He provides assessments and drug and alcohol education at Rosecrance’s Northbrook office. Gielow has a bachelor of arts from Trinity University in Deerfield and a master of arts in education from National Louis University in Wheeling, with an emphasis in special education.

Community Relations Coordinator

Jennifer Hahs is a Community Relations Coordinator for Rosecrance. She is based out of the Frankfort office and covers the southern suburbs of the Chicagoland area. Jennifer earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Pre-Professional Psychology and Master of Arts Degree in Counseling Psychology from Ball State University. She has worked in residential treatment for numerous years at both adolescent and adult treatment facilities, as well as with women and children at a crisis center for domestic violence. She has clinical and administrative experience, knowledge of policy and procedure within residential treatment, and holds years of experience in working with referral sources. Jennifer is passionate about connecting adults, adolescents, and families with the resources they need for help, hope, and lasting recovery.

Community Relations Coordinator

Lori Kehoe is the Rosecrance Community Relations Coordinator for the Chicago region.  Lori earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English and a Master of Arts Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Governors State University.  Lori has a background in academic instruction and coaching and wellness instruction for school districts and the YMCA’s of America.  For the past four years, Lori participated in a variety of roles in the residential treatment setting for behavioral health including direct client support, aftercare planning, marketing and administrative roles. Lori is committed to serving our community, promoting prevention and awareness, and developing and growing long lasting relationships as an advocate for lasting recovery and wellness collaboratively.

Matthew Quinn, MA, LCPC, CADC

Community Relations Coordinator

Matthew Quinn provides community relations in the western suburbs of Chicago in DuPage, Kane, and Kendall counties. He is a member of the Community Alliance for Prevention in Naperville, the Juvenile Justice Council in Kane County, and a consultant for the Connect For Life program through the Naperville Police Department. Quinn joined Rosecrance as an outreach counselor in 2015. He led the Parent Café parent support group, conducted regular prevention and early intervention (PEI) classes, and conducted substance use assessments in the Naperville office prior to moving into a community relations role. He completed his bachelor’s degree in psychology at the University of Notre Dame and his master’s degree in clinical psychology at the Illinois School of Professional Psychology. Quinn is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor in Illinois. He was the program coordinator for the adolescent intensive outpatient program (IOP) at Linden Oaks at Elmhurst for 8 years prior to coming to Rosecrance. Previously, Quinn had been a therapeutic mentor for troubled teens and a member advocate for an employee assistance program (EAP). He has been counseling adolescents and adults in individual, couples, and family counseling for the past 15 years.

Mike Reynolds, BA, CADC

Community Relations Coordinator

Mike Reynolds, BA, CADC is the Community Relations Coordinator of Rosecrance Health Network. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Human Relations & Management from Doane College in 1990.  Mike currently holds his CADC certification in the state of Iowa. Mike was most recently a Program Manager for Jackson Recovery Centers for the past 6 years. He has worked in the field of Substance use disorders and Mental health since 1979, serving in various capacities.

Laura Schramm, MHS, CADC

Outreach Counselor

Laura Schramm is a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor and worked onsite in several schools before she began at Rosecrance in 2011. She provides assessments and drug and alcohol education at Rosecrance’s Chicagoland offices. Schramm has a bachelor of arts degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago and a master’s of health sciences in addiction studies and a post-master’s degree in school counseling from Governors State University in University Park, IL.

Lindsey Vass, MSW, LCSW, CADC

Clinical Outreach Manager

Lindsey Vass is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor. She is also a certified mental health first aid – youth instructor. She has been with Rosecrance for over 6 years with clinical experience in assessments, education/prevention, individual and group counseling. Vass worked for 5 years at the Rosecrance Chicago area locations as well as Argo high school as a substance abuse counselor. She is currently working with the Winnebago and Boone County school districts as well as various other organizations both local and regional doing outreach and clinical work. She provides training to adults and adolescents on various substance use related topics. Vass has a bachelor of arts degree in communications and business from the University of Iowa, and a master’s degree in social work from Loyola University Chicago. Her graduate emphasis was mental health with a subspecialty of addiction counseling.
